Paragliding hike and Fly Mt Si in North Bend Washington

Here is a video of a no wind paragliding launch from Mt Si.

John Clifford flying a paraglider from Mt Si in difficult wind and weather conditions.

His first words on seeing the launch were " are you sure this the place to launch ? "

The launch has snow, ice, boulders, bushes, and small trees and it is steep with slippery footing. Launching requires a confident and smooth pull up of the a paraglider and quickly applying adequate inputs to guide the pilot into the wind and away from the obstacles.

After launching John soared for 35 minutes at cloudbase and landed because a storm cell with hail and rain was approaching.

Hey John,

Thanks for posting this video. I live just down the hill from this site and so every morning I wake up and look at that launch and think, "humm, sooner or later."

Looks like a really interesting flight. See you back on earth
